Human Version Of EDITH Cast For Vision Quest Plus Cranston Eyed For Professor X | Barside Buzz

Two bits of Marvel Barside Buzz including a human version of EDITH cast for Vision Quest, plus Bryan Cranston eyed for Professor X. Let’s start with the part of this rumor we really should be paying most attention to, the casting of EDITH.

According to scooper Daniel RPK, a human version of EDITH (Tony’s AI Passed to Peter in Far From Home) will appear in Vision Quest. This is of course alongside what we think as human versions of Ultron and Jocasta, at least. Daniel says several humanoid versions of AI/Androids have been cast and one of them is EDITH, or E.D.I.T.H, (Even Dead, I’m The Hero) played by Emily Hampshire.

Dawn Michelle King, who played EDITH’s voice in Far From Home is not an ‘on-screen-actress, so it makes sense the role had to be recast.

The reason we should pay attention to this is because yesterday we covered the casting of T’Nia Miller as Jocasta. Daniel beat the trades by several hours to that story, so he clearly has a good line for this show’s casting.

Our second rumor comes from MTTSH, who says Marvel wants Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston for the X-Men reboot. Now, in the past, Cranston has actually indicated he’d be interested in playing Mister Sinister. Sinister s also rumored to be a potential villain for the rebooted MCU film. However, MTTSH reports that Marvel are interested in Cranston for Professor X.

Now, bald and Walter White memes aside, I think this is an ambitious target. However, I do not think it happens.

Cranston may have expressed interest in Sinister in the past, yes. However, he’s also said he would not like to take on a role that has already been done. He’s not into being compared to other actors on ‘who was the best xxx?‘. Therefore, I just can’t see this one, even if I do want Marvel to aim high. Cranston as Sinister would be 100 times superior in my opinion. It would also get him into some potential prosthetics, which would I think be a first for him.

We’ll see, but classify this as a fistful of salt for now.
