“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” S3 Full Trailer

Paramount+ has released the full trailer for the ten-episode third season of its acclaimed sci-fi series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” the promo arriving about six weeks out from the new run’s premiere.

In season three we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike, as they face a conclusion to their harrowing encounter with the Gorn.

But new life and civilizations await, including a villain that will test the grit and resolve of the crew. New adventures of “faith, duty, romance, comedy and mystery with varying genres never before seen on any other Star Trek.”

Some of the most notable episodes of last season were themed ones – a courtroom drama about genetic persecution, a time travel tale involving an iconic Trek villain, a “Meet the Parents”-style rom-com, a crossover with “Lower Decks,” a drama about the dark deeds done in war, and a full-on musical.

This season is said to involve a Christie-esque murder mystery, a romantic comedy, and a documentary-style episode along with more regular episodes including resolution of the cliffhanger involving the Gorn.

Season three features guest stars Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O’Sullivan, and Melanie Scrofano who join returnees Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, Martin Quinn, Carol Kane and Paul Wesley.

“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” will drop the first two episodes of the third season on July 17th with new episodes releasing weekly after that.
