NILE / CRYPTOPSY

North Carolina’s NILE and Montreal’s Cryptopsy will be on the road together this fall for a US tour that also includes The Last Ten Seconds of Life and Cognitive. The tour slams into NYC at Brooklyn Monarch on September 16.

INDIGO DE SOUZA

Indigo De Souza will support upcoming album Precipice on tour this fall with Mothé, plus dates opening for Lord Huron.

Alex G has added more shows to his tour with Nilüfer Yanya.

HAND HABITS

Meg Duffy just announced their new Hand Habits album and a tour which includes headline shows, and dates with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Japanese Breakfast, and Perfume Genius.

DROMFEST 2025

Catskill, NY’s Dromfest has announced its 2025 lineup which as always is heavy on ’90s indie rock, including a few cool reunions: The Dambuilders, Phantom Tollbooth, Scrawl, Das Damen, and lots more.

WINGED WHEEL (SONIC YOUTH/SATURDAY LOOKS GOOD TO ME/MATCHESS ETC)

Winged Wheel, the spectral supergroup that includes Whitney Johnson (Matchess), Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth), Fred Thomas (Saturday Looks Good to Me, Tyvek), Cory Plump (Spray Paint), and more, will be on tour in August, starting at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on 8/21 and then hitting Tubby’s Kingston on 8/22 before two shows where member of Guerilla toss will be collaborating: Parksville’s New Memories on 8/23 and finally Bethel’s Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on 8/24 where they’ll play the Horizon Stage before Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts.

SAULT

Enigmatic UK group SAULT made their live debut in 2023with a spectacularly designed immersive experience that caused a $2.2 million rift between svengali Inflo and frequent collaborator Little Simz. They’re finally getting around to putting on a second happening. As with all things SAULT, details are scant but it happens August 15 in London and you can sign up for your chance at tickets here.

THE DARE

NYC’s The Dare is on the worldwide festival circuit this summer, but in between gigs he’s got a few hometown DJ gigs as part of his “Freakquencies” series that features special guest DJs: June 26 at 3 Dollar Bill with Frost Children and MGNA CRRRTA, then July 5 at Elsewhere Rooftop with Beach Fossils, Geese and Water From Your Eyes also spinning, and July 12 at Public Records (other DJs TBA).

KING PRINCESS

King Princess will support her just announced new album on tour this fall with SASAMI and spill tab.

NATALIE MERCHANT

Former 10,000 Maniacs singer Natalie Merchant has announced a fall acoustic tour with Erik Della Penna that begins November 1 in Great Barrington, MA and wraps up in NYC on November 24 at the NY Society for Ethical Culture.

DANIEL AVERY / RICHARD FEARLESS (DEATH IN VEGAS)

Techno innovator Daniel Avery and Death in Vegas’ Richard Fearless are doing all-night-long b2b DJ sets this weekend in NYC on Friday, June 6 at Good Room, and in  Los Angeles on Saturday, June 7 at an unannounced venue. They say: “Expect heavy atmospheres, strange beauty, and total immersion all night long.” We say:  “‘All night long’ and ‘next day cross-country flight’ sounds rough, stay hydrated and hope you get some sleep, fellas.”

POOL KIDS

Pool Kids, who just announced their first album for Epitaph, will be on tour later this year with Truth Club and Pony.

WATER FROM YOUR EYES

NYC’s Water From Your Eyes will support their second album for Matador on tour with Her New Knife, Winter, and more.
