"Doesn't matter if you chose to be here or not... all that matters is that we are each other's best hope! AMC has revealed an offiical US trailer for the streaming series
Nautilus, a fresh new take on the classic Jules Verne adventure
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea about his aquatic experiences around the world. This first debuted in Australia last year (
first trailer here) and is finally out in the US this summer. This series is a re-invention of the classic tale of
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea from
Jules Verne.
Nautilus tells Jules Verne's epic story from Captain Nemo's point of view: an Indian Prince robbed of his birthright and family, a prisoner of the East India Mercantile Company, a man bent on revenge against the forces that have taken everything from him.
Shazad Latif stars in this series as Captain Nemo, acting as an origin story for the Captain – an Indian prince-turned-crusading scientist who takes control of the Nautilus submarine. Taking them on his adventures and into battles with giant sea creatures - including a giant electric eel and much more. The cast includes
Georgia Flood,
Thierry Frémont,
Pacharo Mzembe,
Arlo Green,
Tyrone Ngatai,
Ling Cooper Tang, &
Andrew Shaw. Despite some dodgy VFX, this looks entirely entertaining. //
