National Geographic has unveiled an official trailer for Jaws @ 50, a brand new documentary about the iconic making of this classic movie. From acclaimed behind-the-scenes doc filmmaker / author Laurent Bouzereau comes Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, looking back at Steven Spielberg's iconic, seminal masterpiece Jaws - originally released in 1975. The fascinating making of doc film explores the creative journey behind Jaws, which was based on Benchley's novel. With archival resources, it chronicles the film's production, Benchley's writing, and the subsequent rise of shark obsession among audiences. The fully authorized documentary includes exclusive new info about the film direct from Steven Spielberg + the original cast, along with interviews with Jordan Peele, Guillermo Del Toro, George Lucas, and many others. It'll be available for streaming in July right smack in the middle of the summer when the original film opened in theaters as well (on June 20th, 1975). "It wasn't just a movie, it was a pop culture phenomenon." This should be good - I'll be watching it.
