UK. Today’s selection of images comes from William Grant & Sons Customer Planning and Activations Manager GTR James Eisen who shared a preview of a sunny Hendrick’s ‘Magic of Sunset’ Sunspell activation at Gatwick Airport via LinkedIn.

The installation marks the latest chapter in the Magic of Sunset campaign – a dynamic activation programme for Hendrick’s Sunspell, the brand’s latest limited-edition travel retail-exclusive expression.

Sunspell was unveiled at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes last year and is inspired by the vivid sunsets behind Ailsa Craig Island, just off Scotland’s South Ayrshire coast – a view that enchanted Hendrick’s Master Distiller Lesley Gracie.

At Gatwick, William Grant & Sons and Avolta have collaborated to bring that inspiration to life through an immersive and visually striking pop-up, transporting passengers into a desert nightscape bathed in golden sunset hues.

The activation invites travellers to explore the story behind Sunspell through a blend of visual storytelling, scent discovery and interactive experiences.

The pop-up features an interactive Scent Station, inviting travellers to explore the gin’s citrus and spice botanicals 

Travellers are greeted by brand ambassadors and offered a complimentary Sunspell Sipper or Sunspell & Tonic cocktail. A Scent Station showcases the gin’s citrus and spice botanicals and spotlights the brand’s signature cucumber and rose notes.

Further ‘Magic of Sunset’ activations are running across key locations, including Dubai International, New York JFK and Amsterdam Schiphol airports.

The pop-up is a great example of retail theatre and rich brand storytelling, inviting travellers to pause, sip and savour the magic of the moment – just like the sunsets that inspired it. ✈
