Air France Opening Pop-Up Restaurant In Paris, Serving Airplane Food
Air France is shortly opening a pop-up restaurant in Paris, just in time for summer, where guests can enjoy the carrier’s signature long haul business class meals. I can’t help but find this concept to simultaneously be both cute and funny, since it’s not often that people pay money to eat airplane food on the ground.

I can’t help but find this concept to simultaneously be both cute and funny, since it’s not often that people pay money to eat airplane food on the ground.
Air France’s restaurant at Galeries Lafayette rooftop
From June 25 to August 20, 2025, Air France is opening a pop-up restaurant at The Rooftop at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, located on the eighth floor of this iconic Parisian department store. All summer long, Air France will be offering visitors from all over the world the chance to enjoy the carrier’s long haul business class catering, served just like it would be onboard.
It’s open to debate whether the view is better from 35,000 feet, or from this rooftop, given the panoramic views of Paris. The menu features dishes and desserts specially created for Air France by chef Régis Marcon (behind restaurants with three Michelin stars), and pastry chef Nina Métayer.
The restaurant is fitted out in tailor-made decor in the airline’s signature colors, with navy blue, white, and touches of red. With seating for 20 people and two lunch services, this is intended to resemble the private atmosphere of the carrier’s lounges. The space also has an outdoor lounge and sun beds.
The menu includes a French-style meal with an appetizer, starter, main course, a selection of cheese, and dessert. Each dish is served in tableware created for Air France by designer Jean-Marie Massaud, on the carrier’s typical business class meal tray.
This is the second year in a row that Air France will be offering this concept, though it’s different this year than last year. Last year, the SkyTeam airline had a pop-up restaurant at the Palais de Tokyo, to celebrate to Olympics.
This experience costs €93 per person
Reservations are required to take part in this experience, and the entire dining experience costs €93 per person. Again, this is available from June 25 through August 20, 2025, with reservations available daily between 11:30AM and 3:30PM. The price includes all the food, plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
I think this is such a cool concept. It shows how much effort Air France is putting into positioning its brand, and the pride it takes in what it offers. I don’t think we’ll see American Airlines open a pop-up restaurant anytime soon.
