Beloved PS4 RPG Is Less Than $10 Just Before Sequel’s Launch on PS Store

The PlayStation Store continues to bring amazing deals to some of the best PS4 and PS5 games the digital storefront has to offer, thanks to the Mid-Year Deals sales promotion. This includes a critically acclaimed RPG that is getting a sequel later this year.

The Outer Worlds is less than $10 on the PS Store

Right now, The Outer Worlds is $9.89 on the PS Store. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, that means players will receive 67% off the typical $29.99 price tag. Players will want to act fast if they want to take advantage of this deal. The offer ends on July 3 at 2:59 a.m. ET.

“Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later than you expected only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony,” reads the game’s description. “As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter a host of factions all vying for power, who you decide to become will determine the fate of everyone in Halcyon. When The Outer Worlds launched back in 2019, it was met with decent reception. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 85 across 77 critic reviews. In our review, we gave it a perfect 10.

“The combination of The Outer Worlds‘ stunning visuals and immersive story telling have positioned the game to be an amazing start to a beloved franchise,” reads out review. “We’ve only just scratched the surface with Halcyon’s tale, and I am certain Obsidian has begun planting seeds for its future.”

Speaking of the future, The Outer Worlds 2 will launch for the PS5 on October 24.
