Wisp announce debut album & headline tour: hear 3 tracks

Following a string of EPs and opening slots for Slowdive, Whirr, Panchiko and more, rising shoegaze artist Wisp has now announced her debut album, If Not Winter, which is out August 1 via Interscope.

The album includes recent singles “Sword” and “Get Back to Me” and the just-released “Save Me Now,” which Wisp says “represents the desperation for attention, sometimes mistaken as love, when you are in a lonely and vulnerable place. It’s about being infatuated with the idea of a savior that blindly leads you to making sacrifices on your wellbeing.” You can watch the visualizer for the song below.

Wisp has also announced a fall headline tour that starts September 6 in Toronto, which is right after she wraps up supporting System Of A Down and Korn and includes stops in Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Austin and more. Tickets for all just-announced shows go on sale Friday, June 27 at 10 AM local time.

There’s no NYC show currently, but she is opening for System of a Down and Korn at NJ’s MetLife Stadium on August 27 & 28. All dates are listed below.

Wisp also features on the upcoming 10th anniversary edition of Citizen’s Everybody is Going to Heaven (preorder our exclusive blood red variant).
