Full Trailer: Maggie Q Is “Ballard”

Following on from “Bosch” and “The Lincoln Lawyer,” a third series based on Michael Connelly’s novels is coming to the screen.

Amazon Prime Video has released the full trailer for its new series “Ballard” led by Maggie Q as Detective Renee Ballard.

In the series, Q’s Ballard leads the LAPD’s new cold-case unit – a poorly funded, all-volunteer unit with the largest caseload in the city. Ballard approaches these old cases with empathy and determination.

Soon she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations, she’ll lean on the assistance of her retired ally, Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life.

Also starring are John Carroll Lynch, Rebecca Field, Michael Mosley, Amy Hill, Victoria Moroles, Courtney Taylor, Hector Hugo, Noah Bean, Michael Cassidy, and more.

Connelly, Michael Alaimo, Kendall Sherwood, Trish Hofmann, Henrik Bastin, Melissa Aouate, Jasmine Russ, Jamie Boscardin Martin, Trey Batchelor, and Theresa Snider executive produce.

“Ballard” premieres on the service on July 9th.
