Get $100 back when spending $500+ with a Hyatt Amex Offer

There’s a new Hyatt Amex Offer out that’s giving $100 back when spending $500 or more at select properties in the US, as well as in select other countries in the Caribbean and North, Central and South America.

The Deal

• Spend $500+ on room rate & room charges in one or more purchases at participating Hyatt properties & get $100 back with a targeted Amex Offer.

• Offer valid only at participating select Hyatt properties in the US, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, St. Lucia, The Bahamas, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Puerto Rico. Please reference americanexpress.com/us/hyattoffer to view participating properties.
• Reservations must be made directly through Hyatt online only at US website hyatt.com, through the World of Hyatt mobile app, at a Hyatt property, or with a Hyatt call center.
• Excludes all other Hyatt brand properties and timeshares.
• Offer not valid for purchases of gift cards or World of Hyatt points.
• Qualifying purchase means a purchase at a participating Hyatt property made during the offer period with your enrolled American Express Card and which is in an amount totaling at least $500 USD as posted to your account, following conversion from a foreign currency, if applicable, in accordance with your Cardmember Agreement.
• Offer only valid on room rate and room charges.
• Offer not valid for lodging stays that are paid for before the promotion start date or after the promotion end date.

Quick Thoughts

On the face of it, this is a great spending offer as it can save you up to 20% on your stay, whether that’s a paid room rate and/or room charges such as meals, spa treatments, etc.

However, be sure to check the list of just over 100 eligible properties here because it’s not as comprehensive as you might hope. From what I can tell, the eligible properties all seem to be resorts and all-inclusives, so it’s not going to be helpful at brands like Hyatt Place and Hyatt House.
