9 New Songs Out Today
Listen to new songs by Sabrina Carpenter, Lil Wayne & BigXthaPlug, GWAR, Dora Jar, Rachel Bobbitt, Che Noir, Car Bomb, and more.

So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
SABRINA CARPENTER – “MANCHILD”
After having multiple Songs of the Summer last summer, Sabrina Carpenter is back with a new single just as summer 2025 is upon us. It was produced with Jack Antonoff and written with Jack and Amy Allen, and it’s got a “Good Luck, Babe!”-esque bounce and kiss-offs like “Manchild, why you always come a-running to me? Fuck my life, won’t you let an innocent woman be?”.

RACHEL BOBBITT – “DEER ON THE FREEWAY”
Rachel Bobbitt follows April’s “Furthest Limb” with another new single, “Deer on the Freeway,” a layered indie rock track.
—
LIL WAYNE – “HIP-HOP” (ft. BIGXTHAPLUG & JAY JONES)
Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter VI is out today, and it has everything from a Bono feature to an interpolation of Weezer’s “Island in the Sun.” One of its best moments comes not necessarily from Wayne, but from rising Texas rapper BigXthaPlug, who’s pretty much the entire reason that “Hip-Hop” is a standout.

DORA JAR – “THE EXPLORER”
Dora Jar’s hushed new single “The Explorer” is her first new single since February’s “Lucky.”
—
CHE NOIR – “BLINK TWICE”
Buffalo rapper Che Noir has shared a reflective new single off her upcoming project The Color Chocolate 2, which arrives on June 20.

GWAR – “THE GREAT CIRCUS TRAIN DISASTER”
“The song just kinda came to us one day while we were all hanging out injecting ketamine and crushed-up insects into our dick holes,” GWAR guitarist Grodius Maximus says. “We were fucked up for days as we experienced hallucinations of charred clown bodies, lobster people impaled on stalagmites, and the unholy image of our pet baby dinosaur being whored out as sexual meat to a greasy mass of scabies encrusted republicans and greased up catholic priests. When we came to, the song was fully formed. All we had to do was hit record and BOOM…’The Great Circus Train Disaster’ was born…”

CAR BOMB – “PAROXYSM”
Extreme metal vets Car Bomb will release a new EP called Tiles Whisper Dreams on August 1 and here’s the chaotic lead single “Paroxysm.”
—
CHICKS ON SPEED – “MEAT&DRAG”
Chicks on Speed announced a new career-spanning box set that includes their first new album in 11 years, HEARandNOWtopia. They’ve also shared a dubby new single, which you can read more about here.
—
NAPALM DEATH & THURSTON MOORE – “NOW I WANNA SNIFF SOME GLUE” (RAMONES COVER)
Today, Magnetic Eye Records released two Ramones tribute albums, one of their 1976 self-titled album and another that’s career-spanning. They’ve got a lot of cool collaborations, including a very anticipated rendition of “Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue” by Napalm Death and Thurston Moore. Read more here.
