It seems a Firewalk Studios developer donated their commemorative plaque that celebrated the launch of Concord to Goodwill. It is now up for auction for an insanely high price.

As pointed out by ResetEra user RandomlyRandom67, the plaque belonged to a former Firewalk Studios developer, Chelsea Grace. The frame features the cover of the game, a game disc, and a name plate. Besides Grace’s name, it says “Founding Freggunner, Northstar Crew, Worldwide Concord Launch, August 23, 2024.”

As listed in Concord’s credits, Grace was part of the game’s art department (H/T VGC). Specifically, she was an outsourcing and co-development lead.

How the Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region was able to get hold of this is unknown. To speculate, it’s possible that Grace donated it herself to raise money for Goodwill. It’s possible the game’s abrupt end is, understandably, a sore sport, and they wanted to get rid of the plaque. It’s possible that someone else had the plaque and decided to donate it.

As of this writing, there are a little over five days left of this auction for the Concord plaque. The current listed price is $3,000, with the minimum bid listed as $3,001. There are currently 40 bids on this item.

While this listing may be enticing for game collectors, people who just want a physical copy of the disc should maybe look for other options that are a bit less costly. As of this writing, there are sealed copies of Concord for less than $20.

Concord originally launched in August last year. However, its servers went offline just two weeks after launch. The game’s failed launch is reportedly the reason behind Sony’s decision to cancel some of its live service projects. This includes a multiplayer God of War game developed by Bluepoint Games.
