‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Starring The Weeknd & Jenna Ortega Hits VOD Friday

Hurry Up Tomorrow will be available on Premium VOD to buy for $24.99 and rent for $19.99 this Friday, June 6, via Lionsgate.

Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan star in the psychological thriller, in which a musician plagued by insomnia is pulled into an odyssey with a stranger who begins to unravel the very core of his existence.

Trey Edward Shults (It Comes at Night) directs from a script he co-wrote with Tesfaye and Reza Fahim (“The Idol”).

Hurry Up Tomorrow serves as an extension of The Weeknd’s recent album of the same title, which will stand alongside the film’s score by Tesfaye and Daniel Lopatin (Uncut Gems). The project also represents the conclusion to The Weeknd’s artistic trilogy that began with albums After Hours and Dawn FM.

Meagan Navarro wrote in her review, “Swooping camera work, soft focus photography, dreamy imagery, aspect ratio shifts, and Shults’ trademark ability to capture pitch black darkness on screen lend an arthouse feel that makes Hurry Up Tomorrow look and feel far more sophisticated than it really is.”
