Red-hot singer/songwriter Alex Warren is adding 10 new songs to his 2024 album You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1) and is rechristening the package as You’ll Be Alright, Kid. The new edition is out July 18 from Atlantic and includes the smash single “Ordinary” plus his new Jelly Roll collaboration, “Bloodline.”
Per the label, the “majority” of the 10 fresh tracks were co-written with Warren, Cal Shapiro and Mags Duval, and produced by Adam Yaron. The new songs are said to focus on “healing, resilience and optimism,” compared to the grief-dominated material on Chapter 1.

“I only know how to write sad songs or love songs because that’s kind of my two things,” Warren recently told SPIN. “Funny enough, my brother joined the military for my mom, and my mom passed away. And then he realized that that was not the life that he wanted. And he struggled with mental health. And so it was something important for me…that’s where our relationship really bonded and got strong, over the fact that we both come from a weird bloodline and a weird, traumatic family.”
“Ordinary” is in its 11th week at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart and just started its first frame atop the Billboard Hot 100. It has accrued more than 495 million streams on Spotify.
Warren is in the midst of a wold tour tour that visits San Francisco tomorrow (June 4) and will run through Oct. 15 in Columbus, Ohio.
