On occasion, the PS Store offers free demos for some of the most anticipated games of the year. This can range from big releases, like Metaphor: Refantazio, to lesser-known games, like the recently released Blades of Fire. One of the latest demos to appear on the digital storefront is of the latter, and is the sequel to an underrated 2021 release.
Free Lost in Random: The Eternal Die Demo is available on PS Store
Lost in Random: The Eternal Die currently has a free PS5 demo on the PS Store. This allows players to check out a slice of what Stormteller Games and Thunderful have in store for those anticipating the action roguelite. In order to download the demo, players must have an internet connection. That is the only caveat, as the demo is available to download for free for all PS5 users.
It should be noted that save data from the demo version of Lost in Random: The Eternal Die will not carry over to the full game when it launches later this month.
“Unravel an original stand-alone story as Queen Aleksandra, the once great ruler of Random on a mission for vengeance and redemption,” reads the game’s description. “Wield an arsenal of four unique weapons, unleash powerful card-based abilities, harness elemental relics and strategically roll your trusted die-companion, Fortune, to shift the tide of battle. Or take on high-stakes wager games where the right roll could lead to incredible rewards… or crushing consequences.”
“Even death isn’t final – return to the Sanctuary to unlock new weapons, buy powerful upgrades, and take on quests from your allies to prepare for your next run,” continues the description.
Lost in Random: The Eternal Die releases June 17 on PS5. The standard version will cost $24.99. There is also the Fortune Edition, which comes with the base game and the Wardrobe Expansion, which will cost $28.99. If players end up liking what they play from the free demo, they can be preordered on the PS Store right now.
