The Osbournes announced for Birmingham Comic Con 2025

Kelly Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne and Jack Osbourne

Just days after Ozzy Osbourne performs at his last ever show with Black Sabbath, he’s set to make another hometown appearance at Birmingham Comic Con alongside his family.

Joined by Sharon, Kelly and Jack, who starred alongside the metal legend in four seasons of The Osbournes, Ozzy is set to appear at Birmingham’s NEC on July 12-13. When the news was shared on Instagram, fans were advised tickets for The Osbournes would be available soon, and they could secure their tickets for entry here.

Previously talking on the The Osbournes Podcast back in 2023, the family discussed the impact of starring in the MTV reality series, which wrapped up in 2004 after paving the way for personality-driven reality TV shows.

When Ozzy explained how the show became more “unreal” as it became more successful, Jack had said that’s the reason “why I don’t think we’ll ever do another season”. In response, Ozzy replied: “It won’t happen again. Never in a million years.”

Around the same time, the BBC announced a new Osbournes reality series which would follow Sharon and Ozzy as they move from Los Angeles back to the UK. Ozzy, however, was forced to remain in the US to undergo surgery, so the long-gestating show has still not been released.

Ozzy’s health issues have continued to make headlines in the lead-up to Black Sabbath’s final gig at Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5. He has undergone multiple surgeries and  battled Parkinson’s disease in recent years, leading to fears about his fitness to perform.

Dubbed ‘Back To The Beginning’, the forthcoming event will see Sabbath’s most iconic line-up – comprising of Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward – appear on stage with each other for the first time in two decades, with Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Gojira, Anthrax, Smashing PumpkinsBilly Corgan, Guns N’ Roses, KoRn, Tool and many more on the bill.

Earlier this year, Ozzy said he now “can’t walk” as a result of the Parkinson’s – but Sharon has told NME that his illness “doesn’t affect his voice” ahead of the show. “He wants to say thank you to everybody,” Sharon explained to us at Villa Park. “He didn’t have that chance because of his illness, but now he does have the chance.”

He had also suggested that he “may be sitting down” on stage, following reports that he’d be performing from a “throne that flies over the stadium”.

“We’re only playing a couple of songs each,” he explained previously. “I don’t want people thinking ‘We’re getting ripped off’, because it’s just going to be … what’s the word? … a sample, you’re going to get a few songs each by Ozzy and Sabbath.”

This came shortly after the singer revealed that he was “in heavy training” for the forthcoming farewell concert, and was back in the gym. He also said he would only be “doing little bits and pieces” with Sabbath at Villa Park amid his health problems: “I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.”

Despite a positive assessment from the Osbournes, Tool’s Maynard James Keenan recently said it may take “modern miracles” to get Ozzy back on stage.

Meanwhile, Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler has admitted that he is having “nightmares” and “palpitations” ahead of the band’s historic last live performance, and, in other news, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford has admitted that he is “gutted” not to be taking part in Black Sabbath’s final show, saying he was unaware of the event until it was too late.

Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler and the surviving members of Soundgarden were recently added to the massive line-up too.
