Executive Vice Chairman Javier Marín highlighted that Aena is the largest airport operator in the world by number of passengers

Cuenda said, “We plan to include different F&B concepts and a variety in options, such as burgers and coffee. We are looking for a mix of local and international brands.

Aena Executive Vice Chairman Javier Marín added that the Spanish operator will expand Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas and Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airports.

He said, “We reached an agreement less than ten days ago with the national and regional government to expand a runway at Barcelona Airport and build a new terminal. We will also expand capacity at Málaga-Costa del Sol, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Gran Canaria and Tenerife Sur airports.
