Marvel Studios has released the final trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” the new preview unleashing one month out from the film’s cinematic release.
The clip marks the best of the three trailers thus far with a good focus on the story, the threat of Galactus, the family angle, and even some of the comedy. Added bonus – The Thing gets a beard at one point.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, the film introduces Marvel’s First Family – Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) – as they face their most daunting challenge yet.
Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner).
If Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal as Sue’s unborn child becomes key – whatever happens, the universe won’t be the same.
The film’s cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich and Natasha Lyonne. Shot at Pinewood Studios in London and partly in Spain, Matt Shakman directs from a script by Jeff Kaplan, Ian Springer, Josh Friedman, Cameron Squires, Eric Pearson, Peter Cameron
“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is slated to hit cinemas July 25th.
