Winning the Professional category is the XBOX Adaptive Joystick from the Design Team at Microsoft which addresses the need for an affordable, singular joystick to use alongside the XBOX Adaptive Controller specifically for players with limited mobility. It can be controlled with one hand, mounted via tabletops, or used with non-hand body parts.The winning Student entry in Consumer Technology went to SMÅ | Paper-Saving Inkjet Printer from Jakob Höxtermann at Bergische Universität Wuppertal for a printer designed to be as space-saving, intelligent, and as resource-efficient as possible, Jakob created a solution that is aesthetically pleasing, blending seamlessly into the work environment all while promoting sustainability.The jury team for the 2025 Consumer Technology category was led by Jury Captain Rhys Newman Global Head of Design & User Experience at ABB E-Mobility. Rhys put together a jury that includes: Casper Asmussen, Chief Creative Officer, Above; Nick Foster, Futures Designer; Rachel Robinette the Senior Director of Product Design at KiwiCo; and Pontus Wahlgren the Global Head of Design at Logitech.The 2025 Core77 Design Awards Consumer Technology category honors electronic devices, software, and gadgets that are designed for personal use by the general public and aim to improve daily life, enhance entertainment, facilitate communication, or streamline tasks—this includes a consumer software or hardware product for the home or personal use that is screen-based, tech-enabled, or Internet-connected.
