Wow: JetBlue Promo Offers 350K Points, Mosaic Status For 25 Years

I love how we’re increasingly seeing airlines launch gamified promotions, which are great in terms of member engagement. It felt like airlines didn’t bother offering these kinds of promotions for so long, but we’ve seen several of these in recent times, from programs like SAS EuroBonus, Etihad Guest, and Ethiopian ShebaMiles.

We’ve now seen JetBlue TrueBlue launch an awesome promotion, celebrating the carrier’s 25th anniversary.

JetBlue’s incredible 25th anniversary promotion

JetBlue is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a pretty awesome offer that incentivizes traveling to as many JetBlue destinations as possible. This promotion is based on travel between June 25 and December 31, 2025:

• Fly to 15 JetBlue destinations, earn 150,000 bonus TrueBlue points
• Fly to 20 JetBlue destinations, earn another 200,000 bonus TrueBlue points
• Fly to 25 JetBlue destinations, earn Mosaic elite status for 25 years

Just to cover some of the basics, you must have your TrueBlue number attached to reservations to qualify, each destination will only be counted once, only JetBlue operated flights qualify, and Blue Basic fares are excluded.

Note that each airport counts as a unique destination, so LGA and JFK would be considered different destinations, for these purposes. Furthermore, award flights, Cash + Points bookings, and JetBlue Vacations bookings, all qualify for this offer. When it comes to earning Mosaic elite status, this promotion offers Mosaic 1 status with a Perks You Pick selection.

How generous is JetBlue’s new promotion?

I’ve gotta say, this strikes me as a very generous promotion that’s potentially not too difficult to complete:

• If you fly to 15 destinations, you earn 150,000 bonus TrueBlue points, which comes out to an average of 10,000 bonus points per destination
• If you fly to five more destinations (a total of 20), you earn an additional 200,000 points, which comes out to an average of 40,000 bonus points per destination (for those last five destinations)
• If you want to think of it differently, if you fly to 20 destinations you’d earn 350,000 points, which comes out to an average of 17,500 bonus points per destination (across those 20 destinations)
• All of this says nothing of the value of TrueBlue Mosaic status for 25 years, which you could unlock if flying to five more destinations

Personally, I value TrueBlue points at 1.3 cents each. If you ask me, this makes the promotion pretty easy to mileage run. If you were to fly to 20 destinations and earn an average of 17,500 bonus points, I’d consider that to be a return of nearly $230 per destination, before factoring in the points you usually earn.

While I think you could come out slightly ahead by taking advantage of this promotion, I’m not sure it’s worth pursuing this from scratch, unless you really enjoy flying with JetBlue, and like the challenge.

That being said, if you ordinarily fly JetBlue with any frequency and would visit a certain number of destinations anyway, this promotion suddenly becomes more lucrative. With each destination you’d fly to anyway, the math on this offer gets even better.

I’m quite tempted to take advantage of this offer, as I love the gamified aspect of this, and it seems relatively easy to complete.

Bottom line

JetBlue has an exciting promotion celebrating its 25th anniversary. With this, members can be rewarded for flying to 15, 20, or 25 unique JetBlue destinations. 15 destinations gets you 150,000 bonus points, an extra five destinations gets you 200,000 more points, and an extra five destinations gets you Mosaic status for 25 years.

This is a pretty cool promotion, and I could see it being quite popular.
