IHG and Chase this week launched elevated signup offers for their two consumer cards that are available in the US.

The Premier card now comes with five free night vouchers, each valid for up to 60,000 points, and the Traveler card with 120,000 bonus points.

Conclusion

If you are eligible for one of these two cards in the US, and frequently stay at IHG properties, it is no brainer to have one, if for nothing else than getting the fourth night free award night benefit.

You won’t qualify for the fourth night free with these award certificates, and they obviously have an expiry date.

The issue I have with IHG and Chase is that a significant number of international properties are not correctly identified as IHG at Chase’s end, and it is a major PITA to have the correct points posted for these.
