“Slow Horses” Season 5 Set For September

Apple TV+ has announced a September 24th premiere date for the fifth season of its highly acclaimed, darkly comedic espionage drama-thriller series “Slow Horses”.

The new episodes are based on the fifth novel in the series, “London Rules”. Itwill begin with two episodes airing that day followed by a weekly rollout through to the finale on October 22nd.

In the fifth season, everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected.

The usual suspects return including Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, James Callis as Claude Whelan, Ruth Bradley as Emma Flyte, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, Tom Brooke as J.K. Coe, Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander, Joanna Scanlan as Moira Tregorian, and Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright.

Will Smith (the other one), Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux and Graham Yost executive produce. The show has already begun production on a sixth season.

The series is also tipped to be a contender at this year’s Emmys with the title ranking high on many prediction lists alongside “Andor,” “Severance,” “The Last of Us,” “The Pitt,” “The Diplomat,” and “The White Lotus”.
