Princess Diaries 3
Disney’s proposed third feature in “The Princess Diaries” franchise is moving forward it seems with reports that the creative team recently flew to the Czech Republic to scout locations – specifically going “castle shopping”. Anne Hathaway is confirmed to be returning for the film with “Crazy Rich Asians” co-writer Adele Lim set to direct the project. [Source: New York Post]
The Accountant 2
Amazon MGM Studios has set a June 5th premiere date for “The Accountant 2” on its Prime Video service with the film to be available to stream globally from this Thursday. The action thriller sequel grossed over $100 million worldwide following its theatrical release in April. [Source: Amazon]
Shin Godzilla
GKIDS has acquired the North American distribution rights to Hideaki Anno’s 2016 feature “Shin Godzilla” with plans for a 4K remaster release of the film on August 14th. The film will be shown in the original Japanese language with subtitles – including restored text cards.
The film sees a horrific creature of tremendous size making landfall in Japan, leaving death and destruction in its wake. The government assembles a motley task force to combat the monster.
