Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru to feature in Airport Wonders of the World flim series
“It’s wonderful to see our focus on sustainability, technology, art, and passenger experience come to life on screen. This is a great way to share the spirit of Bengaluru with the world — even with those who are yet to visit our airport,” says Bangalore International Airport Limited Managing Director and CEO Hari Marar.

INDIA. Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru is to feature in the second series of Moodie Davitt STUDIO’s* acclaimed Airport Wonders of the World film series.
As the name suggests, the series is dedicated to the world’s great airports.
The inaugural production, a trio of short films dedicated to the spectacular Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, was released to wide acclaim in late 2024. The series, launched on Moodie Davitt STUDIO’s YouTube channel and via the airport’s own social media platforms, will soon make its debut onboard Qatar Airways’ inflight entertainment system.
From a start-up, single terminal operation in 2008, Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru has burgeoned to become India’s third-busiest airport, one synonymous with sense and taste of place, cultural integrity, innovation, sustainability and world-class service.
The dedicated series will feature four films:
- Episode 1: The Four Pillars of Terminal 2 – Terminal in a Garden, Sustainability, Technology and Art. These are the pillars that make Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru a gateway like no other on the planet and a role model for the aviation industry.
- Episode 2: Specialist and Duty-free Retail, Food & Beverage – Viewers will discover one of the airport world’s most diverse and experiential commercial offers, a blend of top-class local and international offerings packed with delightful surprises at every turn.
- Episode 3: Passenger Experience – Including The Quad by BLR, a destination in itself for chic shopping, live entertainment and a myriad tastebud-tempting dining options. From first-time shows to festival celebrations and a neurodivergent-friendly room, Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru puts the passenger experience at the heart of everything it does.
- Episode 4: 080 Lounges and 080 Transit Hotel – The multiple award-winning 080 Lounges have become rightly famous throughout the airport world for their vibrant, evocative and culturally rich design, complemented by a world-class dining experience and uniquely warm Indian hospitality and service. The name ‘080’ draws its inspiration from the STD code for Bengaluru city and at the O80 Transit Hotel passengers can dial into a serene atmosphere to chill out before their journey.
